Product Description
With the growing lineup of decoupling solutions offered by Dairyland following the introduction of the PCRX, customers may now be faced with the question of which decoupler will best suit their needs. There are general guidelines that Dairyland provides related to site conditions to help make this choice. These guidelines can be found here. For those that want a definitive answer to this question, the CAD-270 is here to help. The CAD-270 is a low-cost test device that can be temporarily installed at planned decoupler sites for the purpose of assessing the capacitive effects of a given installation.
The CAD-270 will react to instant off rectifier cycling in the same manner that a standard decoupler will. By comparing instant off waveforms with and without the CAD-270 installed, the capacitive discharge effects can be analyzed to determine if PCRX or standard SSD/PCR decouplers are best suited for the application.
WARNING: THE CAD-270 IS FOR TEMPORARY USE ONLY. IT DOES NOT PROVIDE OVER-VOLTAGE PROTECTION. IT IS NOT CERTIFIED FOR USE IN HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS.
