Protecting Railroads from High Energy AC Faults
This presentation will give background to how AC faults affect railroad equipment and introduce Dairyland’s solution, the Overwatch HEFPD. Attendees will learn the difference between High Voltage AC (HVAC) power line faults as compared to lightning strikes. The high energy of AC faults require a robust technology to safely bring the fault to ground while maintaining the signaling operations on the railroad track.
Presentation Time = Approximately 20 mins followed by 10 min Q&A.
