When not working, what can we find you doing?
At the lake with my family and friends.

What are you passionate about?
I really enjoy hunting – it get’s me outdoors and spending quality time with family and friends. I am most passionate about duck hunting at our family hunting property in Minnesota, where we also do deer hunting. I also enjoy doing pheasant hunting when I can.

How do you Live Engaged?
I Live Engaged by making a difference in other people’s lives through gifts of time, talent and treasure. I do this by maintaining a focus on my core values for daily life and to keep a service-oriented mindset for persons I interact with at home, work and in the community.  This type of attitude helps me increase my awareness of others and gives me satisfaction that being of service to others is an important way to Live Engaged

I believe that we are blessed to live in this country, and we should be forward thinking in our actions with continual efforts that benefit those less fortunate than ourselves to increase the standards of living for all.

How/where do you volunteer?
I volunteer with a variety of groups that all have meaning to my life.  First of all, I volunteer with the Boy Scouts supporting them as an Assistant Scout Master. This allows me to spend quality time with my boys and the rest of the Troop as these young men progress along the Scouting Trail to hopefully become Eagle Scouts.  I was blessed to be able to make it to the Eagle Scout rank in my Scouting days and that is where I learned a lot of core values that help me live my life today. The Scouting Laws are always popping into my head as reminders of how to live. These twelve scout laws are Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent. I also volunteer at my church serving in a variety of ways from teaching Sunday School to serving on committees.  I also have a passion to give back to the environment by being a committee member on my local Ducks Unlimited Chapter.  Ducks Unlimited is an organization that helps conserve wetlands for waterfowl and other animals and birds, helping to maintain wetlands as a valuable natural resource.
